The National Investigation Agency, NIA conducted raids at multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday as part of its crackdown on the proscribed Jamaat-e-Islami (JeI) in a terror funding case.<br />''<br />''NIA teams swooped down on the premises of various suspects at several locations in the State. During their extensive searches, NIA seized incriminating documents and digital devices connected with the activities of JeI and its related trusts. The team also recovered cash amounting to more than 20 lakh rupees.<br />''<br />''In a statement, NIA revealed that Jamaat-e-Islami and its members have continued to promote terrorist and secessionist activities in Jammu and Kashmir even after the outfit was proscribed under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act in February 2019. It added, the operatives of the banned organization had been collecting funds through donations from within India and abroad. NIA had earlier charge-sheeted four accused persons in the case, in which investigations are continuing.<br />
