NIA doing exemplary work to choke foreign funding to militants: Rajnath Singh

Home minister Rajnath Singh said National Investigation Agency, NIA is doing exemplary work to completely choke foreign funding to militants. <br/><br/>Inaugurating the new building of NIA in New Delhi on Tuesday, Mr Singh said, the agency has proved its credibility in the last eight-and-a-half years. <br/><br/>The Home Minister said, terrorism is a road block for development and it is a curse for the civilized society. <br/><br/>Director General of NIA, Sharad Kumar, in his address, said, the agency registered terror funding case in Jammu and Kashmir resulting in squeezing funds flow to militants, which is bringing normalcy in the Valley.<br/><br/>Nearly nine years after it came into existence, the anti-terror probe agency, NIA will have its own multi-storied headquarters complex. <br/><br/>NIA was set up after the 2008 Mumbai terror attack as the central counter-terrorism investigation organization. <br/><br/>It was given the mandate to investigate serious offenses related to terrorist activities affecting the sovereignty, security and integrity of the country.
