In Assam, security agencies arrested absconding terrorist and one of the masterminds of the Burdwan blast Sahanur Alom from Nalbari district. Additional DGP, Pallab Bhattacharya last night confirmed that Alom was picked up from Larkuchi village under Mukalmua in Nalbari district in a secret operation.

Mr Bhattacharya said that the most wanted terrorist was taking shelter at Larkuchi but declined to reveal further information for investigation purposes. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) had announced a reward of 5 lakh rupees for providing information about his whereabouts following the Burdwan blast.
