In Assam, the state National Rural Health Mission in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO) and UNICEF has begun Special Immunisation Drive for Measles in seven districts.The programme aims to vaccinate all children in the age group of 9 months to 10 years. More than 12 lakh children of seven districts will be covered in this phase.The second immunisation campaign will begin from 11th November covering six districts.
