National Human Rights Commission is organizing a two day conference on Right to Food this Thursday in New Delhi. The aim of the Conference is to assess the implementation of the National Food Security Act across the states and Union Territories. <br/><br/>Access to adequate quantity of quality food at affordable prices to people, public distribution under Antyodaya Anna Yojana, nutritional support to pregnant and lactating women, prevention and management of child nutrition are among the issues which will be discussed in the Conference. <br/><br/>Our correspondent reports senior officers from the Union Ministries, states and Union Territories, besides members and senior officers of the NHRC, will take part in the conference.
