A month long 12th winter internship programme on human rights organised by the National Human Right commission, NHRC, concluded in New Delhi today. Speaking at the closing ceremony Chairperson of NHRC Justice K.G Balakrishnan expressed hope that interns will utilize their knowledge for the protection and promotion of Human Rights. Our correspondent reports that 48 out of 50 students selected from different institutions and universities from 19 States attended the internship programme, which commenced on the 3rd of January. During the month long programme the interns were exposed to the composition, role and functions of the NHRC.
