The National Human Rights Commission has taken suo moto cognizance of the alleged gangrape and murder of a girl in Khajuwala of  Bikaner district in Rajasthan. The Commission has issued a notice to the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police in this matter and sought a detailed report within four weeks. <br />''<br />''The Commission has also sought information regarding the present status of the police investigation, departmental action taken against the public servants and the arrest of the third accused. The commission has also asked the state government to provide information about the relief given to the victim's family. It may be noted that a team of the National Commission for Scheduled Castes also reached Bikaner yesterday to investigate the matter. It is noteworthy that a Dalit girl was murdered after gang-rape in Khajuwala of Bikaner district few days ago.<br />
