National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has issued notices to Union Information Technology and Health Ministry over the allegations that mobile phone towers near the residential areas are emitting radiations and hazardous to the health of human beings. <br/><br/>Taking cognizance of the complaint, NHRC issued notices to both the secretaries and sought a report within two weeks. <br/><br/>The Commission said, government should adopt strategies to ensure that development is done without causing any substantive damage to the life and health of human beings and other living things. <br/><br/>NHRC said, the complainant has said, the ill-effects of electro-magnetic radiations in his complaint by citing various scientific studies and guidelines. <br/><br/>He has submitted that a radiation is a threat to man's health and life, especially patients, children, old people and the foetus.
