The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has issued notices to Secretary of Railway Board and Senior Superintendent of Railway Police in Sant Kabir Nagar, Uttar Pradesh over an incident in which a youth died after he was allegedly pushed out of a moving train by a Travel Ticket Examiner. The commission has sought report within two weeks. It took a suo motu cognisance of a media report of a TTE pushing a youth on board a running Gorakhdham Express near Khalilabad Railway Station on July 23. <br/><br/>Reportedly, the youth was travelling from Delhi to Gorakhpur and was found without ticket and could not pay the fine of 500 Rupees demanded by the TTE. The Commission has observed that the contents of the press report, if true, raise a serious issue of violation of human rights of the victim.
