National Human Rights Commission, NHRC is organizing a two-day regional workshop for northern India on 'Good Governance, Development and Human Rights' at Chandigarh. Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are participating in the workshop. <br/><br/>The objective of the workshop is to raise awareness amongst all stakeholders about the importance of good governance in relation to human rights and development. <br/><br/>It is a platform to discuss effective examples of governance practices that have had an impact on the promotion of human rights. With this regional workshop, the Commission aims to solidify the ground for the furtherance of human rights awareness and attainment of good governance.
