NHRC has issued notice to Haryana government following reports that incorrect names are depriving genuine pensioners of Sonepat district of their monthly dues. <br/><br/>As per report, there are a number of elderly people, including widows and handicapped persons whose names are incorrectly registered in the list of Social Welfare Department in the district. The beneficiaries are running from pillar to post and are being asked by the department to submit affidavits again and again. The Commission has asked the State Chief Secretary to submit report in four weeks.
