The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, today asked Delhi government and police to submit a report on claims that at least 50 children went missing from the capital in the first eight days of this month. Taking suo motu cognizance of a media report, the Commission asked the Chief Secretary and the Police Commissioner to inform it as to whether the guidelines on missing children issued in August 2007 have been strictly followed.The NHRC has given four weeks time to the Chief Secretary and the Commissioner to submit their reports.
