<span style="color: #222222;">National Human Rights Commission has taken suo motu cognizance of media reports about the death of four persons due to suffocation while cleaning a septic tank in Maharashtra. <br />''<br />''It has issued notices  to the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra and Police Commissioner, Pune to submit reports on the status of the case. The Commission has observed that despite laws and Supreme Court judgment, every other day, deaths in sewage cleaning are being reported from various parts of the country due to lack of safety equipment. </span><br />
