The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, today issued notices to Director General of Punjab Police and District Magistrate of Kapurthala into the allegations of beating a Dalit man to death over plucking vegetables in the district. Taking a suo moto cognizance of media report, the Commission has asked them to submit reports within four weeks in this regard.
