National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has issued notice to the government of Uttar Pradesh over allegations of a fake encounter in Greater Noida. <br/><br/>Taking suo motu cognizance of a media report about the killing of an alleged gangster by police, the commission has issued a notice to the Chief Secretary and Director general of Police of the state and has called for a report within four weeks. <br/><br/>The family members of the deceased have alleged that he was killed in a staged encounter after police had picked up him from a market. <br/><br/>The Commission said, if the allegations leveled by the family members are true then it raise serious issue of violation of human rights of the deceased and the aggrieved family. <br/><br/>According to the media reports, the deceased was wanted in a case of double murder and robbery. <br/><br/>He had been taken into custody by the Noida police but no satisfactory answer was given by the police officers.
