The National Human Rights Commission, NHRC, has issued a notice to Uttar Pradesh Government for delay in post-mortem of a dead man's body in the state. The Commission has taken a suo motu cognizance of a media report alleging that the official wrangles led to about a month's delay in the post mortem of a dead man's body in the Jaunpur district. According to an official release, the NHRC has asked the state government to submit a report in the matter within a week.
