National Human Rights Commission, NHRC has issued notices to the Union Health Ministry and Bihar government over increasing deaths of children due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome. <br />'' <br />'' Taking suo moto cognizance of media reports, the Commission sought a detailed report within four weeks in the matter. NHRC also sought the status of the treatment being provided to the children, who are presently hospitalized. <br />'' <br />'' Expressing serious concern over the spread of fatal viral infection, NHRC said, it has observed that Encephalitis has claimed lives of a large number of children in India.<br />
