<span style="color: #222222;">The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice to the Tamil Nadu police over the death of a person allegedly in its custody.<br />'' <br />'' The Commission has taken suo moto cognizance of media reports about the incident that happened in Cuddalore district on Thursday.<br />'' <br />'' The police said, the deceased was detained for an inquiry over an ATM theft case and had committed suicide in the police station premises.<br />'' <br />''The Commission asked the Director General of Police to submit a detailed report within six weeks. It observed that apparently due to the negligence of the police personnel, the accused, who was in their custody, has lost his life.</span><br />
