National Human Rights Commission has issued notice to the Maharashtra government over poor condition of children's home for girls at Nagpur. <br/><br/>The move follows the report of the Commission's Special Rapporteur, Mrs S Jalaja, who visited the Home last week. She pointed that the home meant for the care and protection of girl inmates, itself seems to be in the need of care and protection.<br/><br/>She said, the building is totally unprotected and unguarded. Taking suo motu cognizance of the report, the Commission issued notice to chief Secretary of the state and sought a detailed report within four weeks.
