The National Human Right Commission, NHRC, has issued a notice to Director General of Police, DGP, of Uttar Pradesh in the death case. A senior lady citizen was knocked down by a vehicle in the state on the 21st of this month. The police allegedly continued to dispute the jurisdiction of the incident and did not take the injured lady to a hospital for treatment. Taking suo motu cognizance of media report, the commission has asked the DGP of state to submit a detailed report in the matter within four weeks.
