National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has taken two revolutionary steps in consultation with RBI and NPCI to facilitate the availability of FASTags for electronic toll collection.<br/><br/>Road, Transport and Highways Ministry in a release said, these are the online sale of FASTags and offline sales through Common Services Centres, CSC, to be set up near toll plazas. FASTags could also be purchased online from the websites of issuer banks and the NHAI website and would be delivered by courier at the doorstep of the purchaser.<br/><br/>It is expected that the move will increase the sale of FASTags by improving availability and access. From tomorrow, FASTags can also be bought from the sale points of CSC to be set up near the toll plazas.
