NH to Manipur continues to be blocked; Centre calls Chief Secretaries

<br/>Even though the Naga Students Federation, NSF has announced the suspension of blockade, the All Naga Students Association Manipur, ANSM, has reaffirmed its stand to continue blockade along the national highways -39 and 53. <br/> <br/>AIR correspondent reports that no goods truck is plying on Imphal Dimapur National Highway-39 on Wednesday.<br/> <br/>Meanwhile, the Centre has invited the Chief Secretaries of Nagaland and Manipur for an emergency meeting in New Delhi on Wednesday to discuss the steps to be taken by the two State Governments to keep NH-39 open. <br/> <br/>Home Minister, P. Chidambaram has already spoken to the Chief Ministers of Nagaland and Manipur to take necessary steps to see that the blockade is withdrawn. <br/> <br/>The Home Ministry has also decided to shortly deploy additional para-military forces on NH-39 to remove the blockade and keep the highway open for unhindered movement of traffic and goods. <br/> <br/>The Centre has been taking steps to ensure supplies of life saving drugs and other essential commodities since the blockade began.<br/>
