NGT orders action against polluting industrial units in Delhi

<span style="color: #222222; font-size: 13.3333px;">The National Green Tribunal has ordered action against the polluting industrial units operating in residential areas of Shastri Nagar in Delhi.&nbsp;</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">It has asked the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) to take action against all such entities operating without consent.&nbsp;</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">A bench headed by NGT chairperson Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel noted that various units like bakeries, welding shops and slaughterhouses were functioning in residential areas without proper permission.&nbsp;</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">The tribunal made it clear that if there was non-compliance of its order, it would take coercive measures against the concerned authorities.&nbsp;</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">It also asked the Central Pollution Control Board to send a compliance report to the tribunal after three months. The NGT has posted the matter for hearing on 4th December.</span><br />” &nbsp;<br />
