<span style="color: #222222;">In the ongoing pandemic several NGOs came forward with a helping hand. One such NGO is Action Aid which has helped several people during the first as well as second wave. Talking to All India Radio News Sandeep Chachra a social anthropologist and Executive Director of Action Aid informed that his NGO is helping the government in the vaccination drive. They are reaching the people at the last mile like the refugees.</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, by the third week of May, Action Aid was running 71 helpdesks across 16 States and 2 Union Territories. They had also set up 17 medical establishments to help people. Action Aid started awareness drives through tempos and autos in 20 states and UTs to inform communities about COVID-appropriate behaviour and to promote vaccinations. Action Aid is a part of people’s vaccine alliance. Mr Chachra informed that Action Aid is helping to reach out to maximum people to get vaccinated</span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">He informed that in view of the suspected third wave of the pandemic COVID Child Care facilities are being set up in Public Hospitals associated with the paediatric wards. The NGO is also working towards the education of marginalised children who drop out of school due to pandemics. </span><br />” <br />” <span style="color: #222222;">The NGO had helped 7.7 million people in the first wave of the pandemic. </span><br />” <br />
