The National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH), an autonomous organisation with the Ministry of Home Affairs has instituted two national communal harmony awards – one each for individual and an organisation to be given annually for outstanding contribution to promotion of communal harmony and national integration. <br/><br/>The award consists of a citation and cash prize of two lakh rupees in individual category, a citation and cash prize of five lakh rupees in the organisation category. <br/><br/>A jury headed by the Vice-President of India makes selection for conferment of awards.
