Haryana Cabinet, which met at Chandigarh on Thursday, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda decided to convene the next session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha from August 19 at 2 p.m.The Cabinet also approved the amendment in the Haryana State Litigation Policy 2010. An explanation has been added to clause 7.2 (dealing with the land acquisition cases) of the State Litigation Policy. As per the amendment approved in the State Litigation Policy there will be no restriction for the instrumentalities of the state to be co-appellant in the appeal filed by the state. The state litigation policy also does not restrict the rights of the instrumentalities of the state to engage their own counsel in addition to the state counsel to assist the Court in the same appeal. The Cabinet also approved the proposal of Transport Department for revision of fee for issue and renewal of stage carriage permits to the private operators. This would increase the viability of the private buses under the approved scheme, 2011.
