News Delhi witnesses light drizzle this afternoon

A day after weakening, monsoon activity showed signs of revival in the national capital as many areas of the city witnessed light drizzle this afternoon. According to the MET office 9.2 mm of rainfall has been recorded at the Safdarjung station.<br/> <br/>With the weatherman predicting the sky to remain partly clouded with thundery developments towards the evening, Delhites can expect some relief from the sweltering heat. The mercury is likely to hover between 28 and 38 degrees. <br/> <br/>The Met department also predict heavy rains to occur in parts of Himachal Pradesh, east UP and Uttarakhand in the next 48 hours. Rain and thunder showers could occur at few places in Haryana, Punjab and west UP and isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and Rajasthan.
