Newly sworn- in govt of Arunachal to carry out cabinet expansion within week

The Nabam Tuki government in Arunachal Pradesh is all set to carry out its first expansion within one week. Disclosing this to the media after taking over as Chief Minister this evening, Tuki said, the final decision will be taken after meeting AICC Chief Sonia Gandhi and other Central Congress leaders in New Delhi . He called upon all the communities of the state to shed petty politics and work together to bring back peace and normalcy in the state.

Spelling out his government’s agenda, the new Chief Minister said, the government will do everything to ensure peace and security in strife torn Tirap and Changlang districts. He however said, the Centre has the final say on the NSCN issue in the two districts. Tuki asserted that if there has to be an all out operation against the NSCN in the two districts, the same can be carried out across the entire north-east.
