In Punjab , first meeting of the newly elected members of the SGPC is being held today in Amritsar . During this meeting 15 members will be co-opted to the SGPC house. With the nomination of 15 members today house will be complete. Total 191 members are there of this mini Parliament of Sikhs to manage historical Gurdwaras in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and U.T.Chandigarh.170 members were elected by the sikh voters of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and U.T. Chandigarh, Chiefs of five Takhats and head granthi of Golden Temple are ex officio members of SGPC. Among the 15 members to be co-opted today five will be from SGPC areas while 10 will be from other states of the country.
