In West Bengal, newly elected members of the Congress met in Kolkata today to discuss formation of the new government with its ally Trinamool Congress. The Senior party leaders, Mr. Pranab Mukheree and the AICC General Secretary, In-charge of West Bengal, Mr. Shakeel Ahmad were also present at the meeting. Later, speaking to newsmen, Mr. Mukherjee said that the Congress will support the Trinamool Congress led Government in the state in every aspect. He hopes that as good administrator, Ms. Mamata Banerjee will be able to ensure all round development of the state. Mr. Mukherjee appealed the all political parties to maintain peace after post poll period. The Trinamool Congress Chief Ms. Mamta Bannerjee already invited the Congress to join in the new Ministry at a meeting with Mr. Pranab Mukerjee in Kolkata last night. Mr. Mukerjee met the State Governor, Mr. M.K.Narayanan in Kolkata this morning and reportedly discussed on government formation. Meanwhile, newly elected members of Trinamool Congress are also meeting in the state capital this afternoon to elect its legislative leaders. Ms. Mamata Banerjee is all set to become the new Chief Minister of West Bengal.
