In Assam, all the 78 newly-elected Congress Legislators are meeting at Dispur today to elect their leader in the 13th Assembly of the State. AIR Guwahati correspondent reports, Mr. Tarun Gogoi is all set to become the CLP leader for the third consecutive term as there is no other contender for the top position in the State. The formality for the election of the CLP leader will be completed at a meeting in the Central Hall of the Assam Legislative Assembly at 1.00 P.M. in presence of the Union Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and the AICC general secretary in-charge of Assam Digvijay Singh. The new CLP leader will take oath at a ceremony to be held at the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhavan in Guwahati at 3.00 P.M tomorrow.
