The newly elected BCCI president Shashank Manohar has stressed on the clean up of the BCCI and restoration of the faith of the people in the game of cricket. He was speaking at the press conference in Mumbai after the special general meeting of the board in which he was elected as the BCCI President.He said that the BCCI has become a huge brand and it is because of the Cricket loving fans. But in the last few days many things have created doubts in the minds of the fans and their faith in the game has shaken. He further said that he will try to bring transparency in BCCI by reforming the transaction and audit process. He asked the media persons to give him two months time to do the cleaning process and implement reforms in this regard. He also resolved to develop the women' s cricket and boost the cricketing talent and also start the search for talented spinners.Nagpur based lawyer turned administrator Shashank Manohar was elected unopposed. The election was necessitated by the sudden demise of Jagmohan Dalmiya.
