India's campaign at the New Zealand Open Badminton tournament has ended. At Auckland today, both H S Prannoy and Sourabh Verma crashed out after losing their respective men's singles quarterfinal matches of the Grand Prix Gold event. Fourth seeded Prannoy was stunned by 11th seeded Lin Yu Hsien of Chinese Taipei in three games 10-21, 22-20, 21-23 in an hour and six minutes. In another last eight fixture, seventh seed Verma lost to unseeded Lee Cheuk Yiu of Hong Kong in straight games 19-21, 16-21 in just 42 minutes.
