New Zealand has offered to share its expertise in green technology with India to produce clean energy and build eco-friendly transport system. The offer was made by New Zealand Trade Commissioner Cliff Fuller at the New Zealand Invest 2010 in New Delhi today. Infrastructure, technology and food supply chain areas in India too offer opportunities to New Zealand for trade and investment.New Zealand is in the process of negotiating a Free Trade Agreement with India and negotiations are expected to start this year. Exports from India to New Zealand include pharmaceuticals, gems and jewellery, textiles, iron, steel products and tyres. Major items of New Zealand's exports are coal, dairy products, wool, wood, iron and steel.
