They lost all their four league games in the group stage. In the Women's World T20, Australian women's team have kept their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals alive. In their final group league game in New Delhi today, they recorded a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over Ireland. After restricting Ireland to a paltry 91 for seven in 20 overs, Australia raced to the target in only 13.2 overs. The defending champions finished with six points from four league games and will have to wait for the result of New Zealand's game against South Africa to know their qualification status. That encounter will begin in Bengaluru at 7.30 p.m. If the New Zealand women win, Australia Women will be through to last four stage. The scores: Ireland Women – 91 fo 7 in 20 overs.
