The New Zealand A Hockey team beat India 2-0 in the first of the four Test matches in Nelson today. India had earlier beaten New Zealand A, 3-1 and 2-1 in the two practice games in Auckland on October 2 and 3, but Sardar Singh-led side tamely went down to the hosts today.India will now play the hosts in the second game of the tour at Nelson tomorrow.
