New York District Attorney rejects a request to step down

The New York District Attorney, leading the prosecution of former IMF Chief, Dominique Strauss-Kahn on sexual assault charges, has rejected a request to step down. Lawyers acting for the woman accusing Mr. Kahn of sexual assault said the district attorney, Cyrus Vance, had undermined their case by leaking damaging information about her. Mr. Vance's office said the request was without merit.
