Union Minister for Textiles Santosh Gangwar has said that the new textile policy will be announced by April this year. Speaking at the Make in India Week in Mumbai today, he said that the inter-ministerial discussions are over regarding it. Mr Gangwar said that the government will make export oriented schemes to boost exports in textiles sector. He said that his ministry is working on the updation and expansion of this sector. <br/><br/>He informed that 24 new textile parks have been sanctioned in the country.He said that 30 thousand crore rupees investment is expected in the textiles sector. The minister informed that the lands of the National Textile Corporation in Mumbai city will be used in other related works. He said that talks have been done with the ministry of MSME for holding training camps on these lands.
