In Nepal, a new taskforce has been formed by the Dispute Resolution Subcommittee under the Constitutional Committee. The five member task force has given the responsibility to resolve the issues seen in the State Restructuring and Devolution of State Power. The task force will try to forge agreement on key disputed issues including the form of governance, state restructuring and electoral system. The five member taskforce headed by Constituent Member Laxman Lal Karna of Sadbhawana Party is to give its report within a week. The sub-committee has urged the task force to further study the report to resolve redundancy and overlapping contentious issues related to the new constitution and narrow them. Differences still exist in number of states, its name, among other issues, in the draft of state restructuring committee.
