A new satellite survey of Egypt has identified seventeen lost pyramids and more than a thousand unexcavated tombs. The research was carried out at a US laboratory sponsored by NASA using high power infra-red images which can identify different material underground. Preliminary excavations have already confirmed some of the findings including the existence of two of the burried pyramids, identified from space.
