The stock market regulator has opened up a big platform for investors to buy mutual fund units and companies to sell them. The Securities & Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has allowed stock brokers registered with the exchanges to 'transact' in ally types of mutual funds, both listed and unlisted.This will enhance liquidity in the mutual fund market, since buying and selling of units can be done through the stock brokers' terminals.
