New National Tribal Policy on anvil, says Union Tribal Minister

A new National Tribal Policy is on the anvil to address the problems of tribal population across the country. In an exclusive interview to All India Radio, the Union Tribal Minister V Kishore Chandra Deo said that a series of measures are being taken to ensure remunerative prices to their produce.

The Minister said that Forest Rights Act was implemented to protect marginal and tribal communities of the country and the government is committed to improve livelihood of more than 100 million tribal people.
