New ministers take charge of their ministries

Some of the newly appointed ministers after Sunday's Cabinet reshuffle today took charge of their ministries. Seven Cabinet Ministers, two Ministers of State with Independent Charge and 13 Ministers of State were inducted in the Council of Ministers in Sunday's reshuffle.

Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, M. Veerappa Moily, Science and Technology Minister S. Jaipal Reddy, Railway Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal, Law Minister Ashwini Kumar, Information and Broadcasting Minister Manish Tiwari, Power Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Corporate Affairs Minister Sachin Pilot and Minister of State for Railways, Adhir Ranjan Choudhary, were among the ministers who assumed office this morning.

Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath also assumed the charge of Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. Rest of the ministers are likely to take charge this afternoon.

fter assuming the charge of Law and Justice Ministry, Ashwani Kumar said the government will continue to forge a broad consensus with political parties to bring a credible Lokpal to check corruption.
