New Industrial Policy finalised to boost investments in J&K

<span style="color: #222222;">Ahead of Global Investor Summit to be held in Jammu and Kashmir in the month of May this year, Jammu and Kashmir has been receiving encouraging response from Multi-National Companies for investments in the Union Territory. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">An official of the UT administration said, to boost investments in J&K, the Government has finalised a new Industrial Policy which is in the process of clearance by the Commerce Ministry and approved by the Union Cabinet. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said the Government will soon sign MoUs with prominent industrial houses who have expressed their interest in investments in film tourism, education, medical, information technology, food processing, sheep, wool, pashmina and carpet production and other sectors. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">An official spokesman of the Government said that over 6000 acres of industrial and sector specific land bank has been identified to attract industrial houses in the Union Territory. This will hugely boost the industrial growth in Jammu and Kashmir in coming years.</span><br />''
