New Indian Coach will be appointed before Sri Lanka tour: Rajeev Shukla

BCCI on Wednesday said that it failed to resolve the differences between Anil Kumble and Virat Kohli despite its best efforts. Senior board official Rajeev Shukla told this to reporters in New Delhi. Shukla however, assured that a new head coach will be appointed before India's tour of Sri Lanka next month. Kumble, in his statement, said that Kohli had reservations about his coaching 'style' and there partnership was untenable.Meanwhile, BCCI has decided to invite more applications for the post of Indian team's coach. A top BCCI official associated with the process told PTI that another 7-10 days may be given for fresh applications. He said when applications invited last time, Anil was an automatic entry, but now the situation has completely changed some more people will now be interested. When BCCI had advertised the post, the last date to send application was May 31. As of now, Sehwag, Tom Moody, Lalchand Rajput, Richard Pybus, Doda Ganesh are the applicants.
