The Government has come out with a new Income Tax Return form, SARAL-II comprising just two pages. The new form is aimed at making filing of Income Tax Returns easier compared to the existing form SARAL-I. Apart from usual columns to collect details of income, the new form includes columns where details of advanced tax and self assessment tax payments and transactions are reported. Experts have described the new form as a major improvement from the previous one.
