Information and Broadcasting Minister, Mrs. Ambika Soni today said that four new Indian Institute of Mass Communication Centres, IIMC, will start their inaugural session from 2011-2012. New IIMCs will be at Aizawal- Manipur, Kerala, Vidarbha and Jammu and Kashmir. An amount of 52 crore rupees will be allotted for 15 acre campus in each cities from the 12th Five Year plan and separate amount of rupees 57 crore will be allotted to Film and Television Institute of India, Pune to make it a global university. Public private partnership mode will be adopted to provide advance Post Graduate Diploma in Animation and Visual gaming in these institute. Chairperson of Prasar Bharati Mrs. Mrinal Pandey was also present in the convocation ceremony of IIMC New Delhi.
