In Jammu and Kashmir, the Agricultural Scientists of Shere Kashmir University of Agricultural Science and Technology have produced a new high yielding variety seeds of rice and wheat suitable for the temperate climatic conditions of Kashmir valley. This was announced by the Vice Chancellor of the University during a Kisan Mela at Wadoora Sopore in north Kashmir on Sunday. AIR correspondent reports that Agricultural Scientists claim that new variety of seeds is capable of yielding ten tonnes of crops on rotational basis in one hectare of land. <br/><br/>
