Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh told the Rajya Sabha today that a new farming practice has been developed to raise farm output and water productivity in the country. It is aimed at increasing land productivity and lower the quantity of water and other inputs in crop cultivation. <br/><br/>Answering supplementaries, he said problems like water scarcity, energy use and environmental degradation have been adequately addressed. The improved farming systems have been tested in different locations and they have fully succeeded, he said.
