Union Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said that the new draft education policy emphasises on "internationalization of curricula". He said that it will make the higher education especially technical education sector, globally compatible with the best ranked institutions of the world. <br/><br/>Speaking at a private college function in Bengaluru today, he said that the draft policy encourages selected foreign universities from the top 200 in the world to establish their presence in India through collaboration with Indian Universities. Mr. Naidu said this is essential to create a congenial atmosphere for science and industry flourish on its own. <br/><br/>Mr Naidu said that the draft national educational policy is an initiative with the view to make India the "education hub" of the world. He said that Accessibility, equity, quality, accountability, affordability are the five pillars on which the new education policy is based.
